ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVE In Cappadocia

  • Arrive at Nevşehir Kapadokya Airport by 1600, meet our ROV Local Representative and private transfer to your hotel in Cappadocia.
  • Check in to your hotel and relax a bit. Later meet your fellow Voyagers and get ready for welcome Turkish Dinner.

DAY 2: The Cappadocia Experience - Hot Air Balloon Ride

  • With an ROV local guide, we start with CATALKAYA (Three beauties), visit the symbolic fairy chimneys of Cappadocia. After that Hike in Red and Rose Valley with your tour guide through wonderful rock formations, pigeon houses, natural tunnels and ancient churches. After lunch, we will discover the famous Cavusin village to see caves and stone houses that were abandoned in 1952. Visit one of the best preserved underground cities in Cappadocia, built by the Hittites and Christians to take shelter during an attack by the Persians. This underground city has 8 floors but only 4 floors are open to visitors.

DAY 3: CAPPADOCIA - ANTALYA: THE TURKISH RIVIERA

  • Breakfast at the Hotel and after we will depart to Antalya which is a Turkish resort city with a yacht-filled Old Harbor and beaches flanked by large hotels. It’s a gateway to Turkey’s southern Mediterranean region, known as the Turquoise Coast for its blue waters.

DAY 4: ANTALYA- PERGE-ASPENDOS-SIDE Tour

  • After Breakfast with an ROV Local guide visit Perge, the place where most of the statues that are on display in Antalya Museum were unearthed. Perge is the most important antique cities of Pamphilia Region where is originally settled by the Hittites around 1500 BC. The theatre stage has finely carved marble reliefs and other carvings from around the city are displayed in the stadium. Amateur archaeologists will want to see the handsome city gate flanked by two lofty towers, a long collonaded road once paved with mosaics and lined with shops, a large agora, the public baths and a gymnasium.
  • Then proceed to Aspendos, which has a capacity of 15,000 people and bears one of the best preserved Roman theatres in Anatolia. It is located beside the river Eurymedon (Koprucay). The beautiful galleries of the theatre, stage decorations and most important of all the acoustic of the theatre reflects the talent of architect Xenon. Besides, the theatre are temples, monumental fountain, basilica, agora, bouleuterion, stadium and aqueducts in Aspendos.
  • After a delicious Turkish local lunch by Koprupazari Stream, a visit to Side. The side is one of the best-known classical sites in Turkey. It was an ancient harbour whose name meant pomegranate. Today a pretty resort town with its ancient ruins, two sandy beaches, numerous shops and extensive tourist accommodation attract hundreds of visitors. Free time in Side and return to Antalya.

DAY 5: DEMRE-MYRA-KEKOVA Tour

  • After Breakfast, Departure from the hotel and travel to Demre to visit the best examples of Lycian tombs at Myra, Antique Theatre and the Church of St. Nicholas the saint to whom is referred to as Santa Claus. Santa Claus was the bishop of Myra. Today he is the patron saint of Russia, Beit Jala in Palestine and New York City. Demre was chosen by St. Nicholas as his home and his final resting place. After lunch, we sail over turquoise waters to the picturesque Kekova Island from Ucagiz Village. Discover the extraordinary underwater ruins of the sunken city belong to Kekova Island and visit the noteworthy Lycian necropolis at Teimiussa. There are opportunities to swim and snorkel if desired, so do not forget your bathing suit and towel. Return to Antalya in the late evening where the tour concludes with a hotel drop-off.

DAY 6: Pamukkale Tour

  • After breakfast, we will drive to Pamukkale which is one of the most spectacular sites. See the wonderful formations of the travertine’s and watch cataracts falling into basins at the bottom of the mountain. Walk around the ancient city HIERAPOLIS, the MONUMENT and THERMAL BATHS. See the architectural genius of the THEATRE, the magnificently well preserved NECROPOLIS and the worldwide famous“DEVIL’S HOLE”. Year-round swimming possibility in the natural hot spring pool. Lunch at a local restaurant in Pamukkale. After tour back to the hotel.

DAY 7: Istanbul BOSPHORUS CRUISE Tour

  • Relax whilst cruising the Bosphorus on a grand yacht enjoying the imperial elegance and the unique panoramic view of a beautifully lit Istanbul’s Asian and European side.Pass under the bridge that connects Europe and Asia, enjoying the picturesque sights on both continents including Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, The Leander Tower and Istanbul’s most posh areas Ortakoy and Bebek.
  • And enjoy the welcome cocktails followed by live DJ music with a delightful Turkish dinner with unlimited local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and ongoing entertainment by belly dancers, folk dancers and other performers.

DAY 8: HISTORIC CONSTANTINOPLE TOUR - Istanbul

  • visit Hippodrome: The former centre of sportive and political activities of Constantinople. During the visit, you’ll be able to see the Obelisk from Egypt, the Serpentine Column from Delphi, and fountain of Willhelm II.
    Blue Mosque: One of the largest mosques in Istanbul dating from the 17th century it is one of the principal adornments of the skyline of Istanbul. Also famous for its blue tiles and 6 minarets.
    St. Sophia: The magnificent Byzantine Church; one of the finest architectural works in the world. It has been nominated as the 8th wonder of the world by many historians.
    Topkapı Palace: The former imperial residence from where the Great Ottoman Empire was ruled. Today a spectacular museum that has one of the largest collections of Chinese and Japanese porcelain.
    Grand Bazaar: In addition to its historical importance, it’s a bazaar that will tempt even the nonshoppers with its rich collection of precious handmade carpets, jewellery, leather and souvenirs.

DAY 9: PRINCES' ISLAND TOUR

  • Today after breakfast in your hotel we will leave to the Princess Island for a full day tour. Cruise in MARMARA SEA to PRINCES’ ISLANDS, retreats for the Byzantine princes are famous for their beautiful pine woods and beaches. The largest and most enjoyable of the islands is Buyukada. There you can enjoy a ride in a horse-drawn carriage among the pine trees after relaxing on the beaches in the numerous coves of its coast. In the evening return to Istanbul and transfer back to your hotel.

DAY 10: Farewell and Good Bye
