ITINERARY
DAY 1: ARRIVE In Almaty
Overnight in Almaty
D- Arrive at Almaty International Airport by 1400-1600 Noon, meet our ROV Local Representative and private transfer to your luxury hotel in Almaty.
- Check in to your hotel and relax a bit. Later meet your fellow Voyagers and get ready for welcome drinks and dinner.
DAY 2: ALMATY – KOK TOBE – ALATAU
Overnight in AlmatyB, L- After Breakfast the excursion starts from the centre of Almaty. You will get acquainted with the history of the origin and development of the southern capital of Kazakhstan, and you will see its main attractions as well: The Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Presidential Residence, the Republic Square and the Independence Monument, the Theater of Opera and Ballet named after Abai, Astana Square, Railway Station, Central Mosque, Park of 28 Panfilov guardsmen, Abai Square and the Palace of the Republic. Kok-Tobe is the highest TV tower in the world if you count from the sea level.
- After lunch, get acquainted with the most beautiful mountains of Zailiyskiy Alatau, surrounding the city of Almaty. The first stop awaits you in the Medeo natural boundary, where you see the dam that protects the city from the devastating mudflows that form on the tops of the Western Tien Shan. Further, the tour route will take you to a height of 2200 meters above sea level, where the ski resort Shymbulak is located, and which is considered to be one of the best ski bases in the territory of the CIS.
DAY 3: ALMATY LAKE – MOUNTAINS-BISHKEK
Overnight in BishkekB, L- After Breakfast, check out. Meet our ROV Local Guide and today you can climb the gorge, where at an altitude of 2510 m above sea level there is the Big Almaty Lake – one of the most picturesque lakes of the Zailiyskiy Alatau. The lake fascinates with its beauty, especially when its surface is absolutely calm and reflects the sky and surrounding mountains. BAL was formed as a result of glaciers melting. Due to the high-mountain location, the water temperature never exceeds +10 degrees. The route of the tour will take place at an altitude of 3300 meters above sea level, where the bases for scientific astronomical and space research are located. Here, at the base of the Big Almaty peak, you can enjoy the enchanting panorama of the mountains and BAO surrounded by picturesque mountains covered with Teen Shan spruce, aspen and juniper.
- Transfer to the airport to flight to Bishkek.
- Arrival in Bishkek from Almaty at 19:30. Transfer to the hotel and check-in. Free time
DAY 4: BISHKEK-BURANA
Overnight stay in BishkekB, D- After Breakfast, meet our ROV Local Guide / Driver and drive to Architectural- Archeological Complex “Burana Tower” (UNESCO).
- Burana Tower (ancient minaret) is located in 12 km far from Tokmok town. The territory where the tower is located was called Balasagyn town. This town had the strategic meaning for Great Silk Road. Here you will see a small museum with exhibits found at excavations, providing more details about this ancient settlement, and become familiar with the collection of Balbals, Turkic grave marks.
- After lunch return to Bishkek and city tour. Visit Ala-Too Square, Manas Monument, Kurmanzhan Datka Monument, main governmental buildings, Old Square with Parliament House and Lenin’s Monument. Also, visit the Osh market in Bishkek, and see sweets, meat, bread and souvenirs departments. Finish at the Victory square.
DAY 5: Farewell and Good Bye
Manas International Airport, BishkekBVoyagers, it’s the end of the road for your Two Country adventure and time to say Good Bye and make your way to the International Airport from where you’ll catch your flight back to your home destination.
